Identification of Bandlimited Nonlinear Channels in the Presence of Uplink and Downlink Noise

This paper addresses the problem of identiication of a class of nonlinear channels which are structured as a cascade of a Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) lter, a Zero-Memoryless Non-Linearity (ZMNL) and a LTI lter. Such models are appropriate to describe satellite communication channels, where the nonlinear distortions are due to on-board satellite ampliiers and the linear lters model multipath eeects in the uplink and downlink paths.
